52 Week Dog Photo Challenge - 2017

He is doing awful..He cried out in pain this afternoon and scared me to death! Back from the vet just a bit ago but I think we have found the problem..she is pretty sure it's a pinched nerve in his neck..gave him a laser treatment ..changed all the pain meds to something that would help with inflammation. sigh:facepalm:I am telling you I could not understand why the pain med he was on didn't seem to settle him at all.. I would give him the last of two doses at 12:30 am and watch him until 3am ..up and down in and out..he could not sleep and yet these were supposed to make him sleepy!.
Any way taking him back on Tuesday and Thursday for laser treatments and she reassured me that it would take 6 to 12 weeks but that he is going to be okay..:pullhair:I am hoping so and praying..still so freaked out over all of it..Oh and it's a 30 minute drive one way to the vet ..my air conditioner quit on me...Jake had some air in the back but I had none!! 111 degrees! Im a pooped!:poop:

I SO wanted that baby to be feeling better. I know how stressed and worried this has to be making you feel, and I hate that (in addition to hating that Jake doesn't feel well). I'm relieved that they have found the source of his troubles, and you guys are surely in my thoughts and prayers. Bless your heart with all of that PLUS the heat AND the car A/C crapping out. Both you and Jake need a break, and I hope this will be the answer. Also...OF COURSE, amazing and beautiful picture. I hope he rests easier (and you do as well) tonight.

Thanks for thinking of us..I'm up with him as I type this..he hasn't been sleeping very well ...so neither do I just gave him two Methocarbomol and hoping he will get some needed sleep.:sleep::sleep: He tries to get up on the bed but he hurts so he jumps back down and then he wants outside...my poor guy!...it still feels like 90 degrees out there!

Week 26 - Stalking

It brings up quite of bit of sadness to share Flynn's pics..I am trying to move past it..I'm looking for another doberman pup now and it's not even easy to find a Doberman pup anywhere around here. Flynn was from Texas and for those of you who don't know he became paralyzed at 2 years old with acute wobblers disease and we had to ethunize him.. The hardest thing I have ever had to do with a dog. :( I just want you all to know ..I try to keep the chat and facebook my happy place but sometimes there is just no getting around reality..I have so many wonderful memories and photos of Flynn that I really do want to share them and remember all the good positive things.. He taught me so much in the short time we had him..He was a great guy. I will always miss him and it's very hard seeing Jake all alone..Some of my greatest photos were of the two of them playing together. Whew sorry for my long winded ranting..Anyway I'm thinking happy thoughts about how cute Flynn was but still have tears whenever I see my photos of him. :(

He was indeed a beautiful boy and we're always here to talk and for a shoulder since we all understand just how devastating and tragic it is to lose one of our babies. :(

Thanks Jan ..I was just talking with Judith and we are both really devastated over her loss of Bella too.. I was telling her how hubby although he's truly a great guy ..doesn't really get why I have such a hard time with it..so it's nice to have my dobercrazy friends that totally understand.

My Hubby totally gets it and cries along with me, but other people are another story. I once had a former boss tell my "they're only f...ing dogs". Needless to say any respect I had for him went right out the window.

I have to thank ya Jan for making me look harder at my photos..:blush-alt:I am like the old woman who lived in a shoe..I have so many photos that I don't know what to do! I found one of Jake stalking! He was stalking the wild cookie that my grandson had for him..one of those times I think where he went around the jump instead of over but still expected a cookie as part of the deal for at least thinking about going over the jump!
