If you had that posted and your dog ever really did bite someone, it could be used against you to prove you knew he was a biter. We took down all funny doberman signs and dog warning signs to just "No Trespassing" signs.

I've heard that, too. That to hang a sign warning someone about a guard dog is admitting that he will bite, and is therefore dangerous. I've also heard that you can post "Dog on Premises" or even "Doberman on Premises" without that risk of liability. I found a sign on eBay (but haven't seen it anywhere else) that had a pic of a red dobe, and said, "Please don't let the Doberman out, no matter what he says!" Gets the point across that a Doberman lives here, but can also be construed as a silly sign.

We have one, but I'll be honest, had heard the same thing about liability, so it hangs in the house as a joke. Has a Dobie on it and states "Do you believe in life after death, cross this fence and find out!"

You know I've got the stickers on the trucks, and the jeep. I honestly just haven't gotten around to buying a new sign yet. I've still got the good old beware of dog sign. Only difference is I added an s to the end of dog with a permanent marker haha. I think I may get one of these for my secret Santa, and possibly one for myself too.
