Do dobermans take a long time to cool off?

If it's hot they have to pant, so yes, totally normal. Once you come inside and it's pretty cool and they have their water, the panting should subside pretty quickly. thank you!

Glory follows the sun in the windows in the house, but outside looks for shade.

Kaiser does that too. He likes to lay in the sun inside but definitely seeks shade outside after a little bit of exertion.

With all of our past dogs the girls seem to seek the sun outside and the boys like the shade. Inside they all love to follow the sun spots around all winter.
