I am looking at a nest that has to be born with the father having a ZTP 1B U and the mother ZTP 1A SG.

Am i correct in amusing that the U (excellant) and SG (very good) is on the confirmation of the dog itself and the ZTP 1 A/B on their working abilities?
Both parents have VPG 3, im amusing this is the german IPO?

Does ZTP 2 exist? or its just A or B or fail?
been searching the net but couldnt find anything concreet on the matter.

I will check and see if I can get some answers for you on some of the quetions. I show DVG and UDC and have not heard of some of indicators you mentioned by the IPO is the new terminology for the Sch I, II and III they are separate titles but are the same for the most part. I think Sch will eventually be phased out and all new titles will be IPO.

From the DVG web site: Schutzhund has been changed to VPG (in German- Vielseitigkeitspruefung für Gebrauchshunde) which roughly translates into 'versatility test for working dogs.'

Working dog Titles some info on titles

Info on the ZTP and ratings - it is a fit for breeding test - Info ZTP

ZTP is a breed suitability test and has many things different from it and the SCH/ IPO requirements. The ZTP is for Dobermann only. I saw it in person and it did not seem to be meant to be as challenging as the ScH/IPO standards. Nonetheless I really felt that it was an excellent test and helped us in figuring out the breed suitability of our dogs. Keep us posted!!
