I want to get a Doberman in the near future except I need help deciding between two male names. The ones I can't decide on are either Alex or Paris. Which one do you guys like more? Help is appreciated!

I would have a couple more names on the list. We found the dogs personality really impacted the naming. He was originally Blitzkrieg (lighting and war), with nickname Blitz which seemed cuter for a small puppy, but he was a royal PITA so we ended up with Kaiser (German emperor, not the bun lol).

Definitely Alex. My next male in the future will be called Rogue.

Of those two, I'd choose Alex.

Alex=Alexander=Zander or Xander in Greek meaning “defend” and “man warrior.”

In Greek mythology Paris was actually a male name. He was supposedly responsible for the Trojan War by abducting Helen of Troy from her husband.:D

When I lived in Maryland, I believe the male governor's first name was Paris.

Alex was the name of my most recent Lab. What a great companion he was.

Funny thing was that I originally named him Atticus but my daughters could not pronounce that correctly and would call him Alex instead- and so the name Alex stuck.

Paris reminds me of Paris Hilton. Alex it is.

That’s the first thing I thought of too. Then there is Paris Jackson.

I really like Zander or Zan for short boy, or Zandy for a girl. I like the Greek meaning like Zeus is majestic. Just my thoughts a name is personally yours.
