So the state electric company has sent tree cutters to the far fetches of the forest to cut anything too close to high lines. It's to prevent power failures during snow storms or getting blamed for starting massive forest fires. They go to great extremes to not be the brunt of the problem, which I do appreciate. Well, those expert tree cutters were in our area, not even close to the house, Asha had to let them know how she felt about it. LOL. Such a show off, and they couldn't even see her. 🙄

Look at her kick dirt! 😂 We were sitting in the truck in the Home Depot parking lot today. Sasha decided to freak out on an 80 plus yr old man she saw sit on a mower in front of the store! She has a thing about small, motorized things!

Kaiser doesn’t kick just one foot. He does a “wipe feet” sort of motion with all four. It’s definitely territorial. On walks he will come across something where he wants to specifically mark extra with his feet. So he’ll mark with urine first, or poop if he runs out of urine, and then wipe feet.

I agree that it's territorial - I've just never seen a dog so adamant about it. Dogs have scent glands in their feet and are spreading their "presence" in a wider area - but usually it's associated with "dog talk" and pee marking. Asha does this when she hears or sees people on the road in front of the house, or wild critters. She's never done it when on leash though.

The 'best' is when he does it after a poop on a walk...he has a few favorite spots where the trees have mulch around them...so if I'm not fast enough, he'll do the wipe feet motion and kick all the mulch at me! And if it's not mulch, then snow, or slush, or dirt, or pebbles, lol, thank god we don't have any mud along our walking routes
