Tis the season

    For green beetles to buzz around in So Cal, to ruin people’s fruit tree harvests.
    Rocky stopped mid chomp of an apple and dropped it to chase this one down.
    He has a more direct approach to these things, lol. Bag it, kill it, back to business as usual as quickly as possible.
    Daisy used to catch them and take them to her special spot in the shade and toy with them. Eventually they’d usually drown in her spit :D
    Sometimes they’d suffer a well struck paw swat. On my old phone I have a video of her like 3-4 minutes long toying with one.
    Are these things everywhere?

    About the size of a quarter, maybe slightly larger?

    Those at least look pretty with those bright green colors. We have cicadas here in TX. And they look freaky with their big eyes and shedding skeletons left all over the place. Luckily the dogs don’t play with them. So gross.

    I'm positive we don't have them this far north but I agree the color is pretty.
