Can someone explain to me what the famous T litter is? I know it is present in the pedigree if Fedor Del Nasi, but what is special about this litter? Like, what happened? I tried looking it up but haven’t found any info on it.

Usually a breeder just goes through the alphabet starting with a and going through z with each litter so maybe some really good pups were born out of the t litter.

That’s not what I mean. There is some T Litter that I keep hearing people talk about(Its not a good thing).Where someone supposedly happened to the dogs in that litter. That specific litter is famous because something bad happened to all the dogs. I’m trying to find more info on it.

I found out the answer myself. The cause of death of dogs in the T Litter was never reported for most of them. There was like 8 or 9 dogs in this litter and I believe only 1 or 2 had the cod reported. Of these 2 dogs I believe they died at like 3 or 4 years old. So a lot of people believe that dogs with a member or members of the T Litter in their pedigree aren’t going to have longevity. A lot people of people also find it suspicious that the cod was never reported for all the dogs. The father of that litter also never had his cod reported and the mother of that litter died at 5 years old.

I think the youngest died at 4 and the COD was DCM. I think that was Tigr and a few others died at 5-7 with no COD. I think the longest living was 9.
The damn was Indira Vd Rauberhohle (sp?) and she died at 5 I think, supposedly from an accident.

Maybe, I just said what I found online. Not sure if it’s right or not.

I'm surprised you had trouble finding anything on the famous T litter. There was such a big deal about it because the damn and most of the litter died so young.

I found that info on another Doberman site I am part of and I know sometimes information gets crossed on the internet or turns into a game of telephone. That is why I asked my question on here too.

What @JanS said is actually factual regarding the T litter. Unfortunately that T litter called that by the breeder had an unusually large presence of death at an early age. The T does not stand for a disease or COD. The number of dogs dying early in age from that litter including the bitch is what designated its name into articles about that particular litter.

I understood what JanS said and I know it is factual. I never said that what she stated wasn’t factual or accurate. I was just saying that she misunderstood my question which is what happened. I didn’t express my question clear enough in the original post, so that is on me.

Perhaps it was the way the question was phrased that caused misinterpretation.
I figured since you hit the disagree icon that you disagreed with her entire explanation which did not warrant a disagree, rather a more concise response of what you were asking.

Me hitting the disagree icon didn’t mean that I thought what she stated wasn’t true or accurate. I hit that icon and typed a reply a to show that wasn’t I mean. I also already stated in my reply to you that I didn’t express my question clear enough which is why she misunderstood. Her response just didn’t go with my question which is why I disagreed and the reason her response didn’t go with my question is because I didn’t phrase or word it clear enough in the first place. I have acknowledged that I could have word my question better.

I didn’t mean to have an attitude. I am sorry that I come across that way. I did not word my question clear enough and you misunderstood what I was saying. That is my fault and I really don’t mean to seem rude. I also didn’t mean to insinuate that your information was incorrect or inaccurate. Because it wasn’t everything you said was right.

Disagreeing with someone isn't rude when you supposedly understood what I meant?

I did understand what you meant. But you said my attitude was getting old so I thought you might have taken what I’ve said the wrong way and found it rude. Which was not my intention so I apologized because that was definitely not how I wanted to come across.

I know that "other" forum may engender, and feed and water, a more prickly attitude.
