Spots, swollen and hairless areas on paws

Hi everyone,

My doberman is 1.5 years old, in his first summer he had some dry spots on his coat which I believed to be seasonal allergies. This time around he’s really suffered with gooey eyes, dry hard lumps on his coat and he constantly licks and itches. I recently noticed he had these on his feet and I was wondering if this is seasonal too?

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to help soothe and get rid of them?

I give him antihistamines for his seasonal allergies already and I was considering putting some apple cider vinegar in his food but I was wondering if you had any recommendations on ways to treat his feet and also for his coat as he always licks his chest I worry that his skin is very dry and itchy for him. He also suffers from
Chin acne but I am going to implement advice I’ve seen from other posts on this but I don’t know if that may mean that he’s likely to have this issues on his feet as some look a little like acne spots?

I’d also love to know if anyone has had this problem with feet before, I’ve researched and can’t be sure what it is. I thought likely allergies but I have read about mites and infections.

Many thanks!

Welcome!

Is he on a food he might be allergic to?

Has your vet done a skin scrape to rule out external parasites?
