Source for organ meats?

I finally found pork kidney at an Asian market, but I would like her to get a good variety of different things. Where are you finding things like pancreas, thymus, and spleen? I feel like I've looked everywhere and can't find it anywhere. IMAG2172.jpg

Friends of mine order their 'hard to find' organs through Feeding Raw Miami. Pancreas is quite pricy!

Another question... Is it OK to make treats in a food dehydrator?

I was going to do that but then I found dehydrated yam treats at Costco. Fed those and they came out looking pretty much the same haha. I'd say test out some premade stuff before committing...unless you/your family will also make use of it.

She was waiting for lunch. Lol. She went from a puppy who didn't give a flip about eating (kibble) to a always looking for the next meal. I'm starting to wonder if I should increase her feeding amount.

It can't hurt to give a bit more if it doesn't impact her potty habits. I know every episode of diarrhea would set us back so I wish I would have had a couple extra pounds on Kaiser in the early days.

Without the posts she definitely starts to look like a big girl now.

She's had nothing but diarrhea for about 5 days.

Something in her diet might be too fatty.

More bone to firm the poops until she adjusts. In the beginning it's okay to be way over the 10% bone amount. No organs for now, honestly. Let her poop firm up first. She isn't going to miss those minerals overnight. Chicken and bone for now. Once her poops firm you can slowly add some organ in.

For organ sources you can shop online or see if you can source some at an Asian or Spanish market, or a local butcher. Check Facebook for any local raw fed groups to help you find places more local to you. You can save a lot that way.

Good to know. I'll increase her bone.

And with anything fish or pork related organs included if you buy from a store, make sure you put it in the freezer for two weeks before you feed it to them.
Rawfeedingmiami.com pre freezes all of their fish and pork before so you can feed their pork and fish immediately.

Ya pork and fish can carry parasites, worms and bacteria so freezing it for two weeks kills that off :)
