Small bumps on 17 week old blue dobermann

Hello
We have a blue 17 week old blue Dobermann who has several small bumps all over his body. This has been getting progressively worse since we brought him home. He had a few bumps wat 8 weeks, the breeder said they were scabs from sibling bites most likely...he now has these on his head, back, really all over.

We've rubbed his coat with coconut oil, tried changing his diet (all raw diet, changed providers), we are washing his bedding with hypoallergenic detergent, nothing has helped.

They form dry little scabs, then scratch off, but some pop like pimples.

I've attached pictures for your advice!

Welcome, Keri!

I would probably have believed that too with the bumps on the head – that they were bites from littermates. But the dilutes (blues and fawns) do often have skin issues.

Health-related stuff is not my forte, so I'll hope those with more to say on this will chime in.

Could be from a number of things.
Diet
Allergy
Thyroid
A form of follicle displaysia somewhat common in blues.

Welcome to Doberman chat.
Others will be along with more info.
Using the search engine on the site a few threads should come up.
We’d love to see more pics, who doesn’t love puppy pics? Lol

Could be a skin infection called pyoderma. Not uncommon in puppies. It's usually treated with antibiotics and/or a medicated shampoo.

Thank you! He is also getting kelp added to his food, a sprat fish with every meal and I just bought some hyperbiotics. Just finished a week taking homeopathic Silica 30 cc. Going back to the vet on Thursday. Really don’t want to start antibiotics and or a bunch of testing when he’s so young.
