Although I’m not sure how much credit I can take since he’s been doing that (for the most part) since I’ve been taking him out in public.
I think you deserve credit for doing all the right things all along as he grew up!

Genetically they do come in all different levels of easy to hard though, as so many of us here can testify!

@MichiH nice work!!!! Impulse control is so useful. Once you have the attention at a stand still you can try to add a little movement. If you have to, add some distance first. Another fun challenge is recall over toys in their path. They have to do that for the CGCA!

Incase you guys didn’t know, AKC scent work has a new rule that the dog must do parkour before beginning a search…

I just realized looking at the background you may think a baby lives here, but nope, that’s for my niece who visits almost everyday. She’s taking over the house 😂 Her bouncer made a good hiding spot though lol.

Tell Dad he needs to feel Remy's testicles, that'll get a good reaction 😂😂😂 but no, really...he does!
I’ve had 3 or 4 different people examine him and I could only get one to feel them. I’m like “it’s just skin!” 😂

He’s done an “exam” once before and actually felt his chest, down his topline, etc so I’m not sure why this one was an ear massage… 😂

LOL, that's one thing Elroy is really used to from a young age. We'd meet a stranger (to him) at a place like Lowe's so he got the judge type exam, including testicles and I'm sure we had people staring at us, but as dog people, we don't care.

Apparently Remy has a knack for sniffing out turtles because he’s found quite a few 😂. Today we were out walking when he suddenly starting sniffing the ground and pulling into a different direction, which led us to this snapping turtle. I feel like everything can be turned into a training opportunity, especially with a young dog, so I had him sit a few feet away and wait. When we first got to it he was trying to get up close. I’ll post a better picture of it in the wildlife thread.

Elroy doesn't really do it with his own pee but when Olive was in heat he'd make a beeline to where she had gone when I let her in and him out. Those teeth were really chattering then.
