One ear won’t stand

One of my puppies had a lazy ear that would flop down. It corrected itself before first birthday.

Update - I should have also said that when she alerted, both ears would stand up straight. It would flop when she was relaxed.

Yep!

But few mention the importance of this here. Getting the dog 'tuned up' and actually 'using' their ears the way that cropping was supposed to help the dogs use them and such.

I had specifically said I wanted a shorter crop because my last ones was longer than I had liked, showed pictures and everything of what I wanted… and unfortunately, I just didn’t get what I wanted
That must really be frustrating. How is the ear doing now?

Have been through this and pretty much done everything you have. Since my boy was not going to be shown or bred and it was so irritating to him, I went through it three times and decided I didn’t want to put him through antibiotics, other procedures and I gave up. He and I spend 12 years as companions and I’m not sorry….always thought he looked cute (if not as impressive as my others). This pic is right before he passed. But I do understand. Please let me know you your fellow does!

just seeing this but still posting, the one stands now but you can still easily see weakness in it and I’m afraid if I keep them out of the posts longer than an hour it’ll fall back down… he’s 10 months old now so I’ll keep going

Good job being so diligent!!

Have you thought of doubling up Breathe Rite strips? May be just enough to hold and then at same time recruit his ears to be stronger.
