My 4 month puppy has a lump in his back since yesterday

Hello! Happy to be here!
Im new in the dog world i got my doberman puppy when he was 2 months old and the breeder fed him purina friskies which i continued for like a month and then i read on internet and it said that it wasn’t a good food in general so i thought id go for a more “premium” one and i read too much and decided to go with wellness core puppy large breed. Since i got the food I noticed my puppy poo got a lil soft and everyday softer and softer till it became diarrhea and my vet said its food allergy so i good another food brand today but what worries me is that yesterday in the morning my puppy was fine my girlfriend took him for a walk and when they came back i noticed a lump in his shoulder i got worried and visitet a vet he said he must have got bitten by a bug or sth but a different vet tolde its a fat lump and it will go away in it own but im really worried because these guys look like they dont have any idea or its just me being paranoid maybe. It small and when you touch it it doesnt hurt him but you can feel the lump its under the skin as it plays around when you grab it. Can the food allergy cause the lump ?Any idea what it could be? Id really appreciate any info.

I don't think food allergy. Maybe a bug bite, but it looks like a fat cyst, but I've never seen one in a young puppy. I don't know.

Find a lower protein All Life Stages quality kibble for your pup and try to stay with it for a good length of time. Softer stools usually come with high protein and/or cheaper fillers like corn. Dog Food Advisor is a good website, and I like the breakdown of food ingredients and how they say WHY they don't think they are good for your dog. All Life Stages tend to be better on bone & joint growth than puppy foods and especially large breed foods.

Let us know what happens with this lump. Seems there was another dog with this not too long ago. I'll look around and see if I can find the post.

Umm Friskies is cat food. (???)
Switching food can cause loose to very loose stools, especially if it is too rich for their system.

Could the bump be from recent vaccinations?

The food that he is right now says 33% protein. Can high protein cause problems?
I bought this one today home i made the right choice. Was reading that taurine and is good for their heart since they are known to suffer from heart disease and glucosamine for joints.
I wanted to go for purina pro plan since i read in some forums its good for dobermans but there is no one that sells it in my country.

Welcome! I would guess a bug bite too.

It does look like a bug bite to me too. What country are you in?

It's amazing how quickly we will adjust the environment to accommodate our Dobermans! We stopped treating our backyard for weeds just for Kaiser, and we stopped using chemical cleaners for our floors.
