I don't really know why I'm sharing this, but I can't get it off my mind, and I don't really understand how it could happen (I'm naive). At the rescue I've been in contact with (and try to help), there are five (FIVE!!!) 2mo. females. Of course, I think it's safe to assume they are litter mates. Their intake date was 8/13...so, under 8 freaking week-old babies.
I want to get in touch with the rescue just to see if they can use any of Jax's old stuff and see if I can find out more about these girls, but today is their open house for approved adopters and I know they are busy.
Anyway...I guess just in the event that someone here is in Texas and looking for a rescue Dobe, I wanted to mention it. (I hope this is okay.)
The rescue is called Doberman Rescue of North Texas.
Of course I want to go scoop them all up, but I know Jax and I aren't ready for a little puppy just yet!
