This is the Guam War Dog Memorial. Some of us may be familiar with it, and a similar photo may have already been posted on this site previously, in another thread. An exact replica stands today on the grounds of the University of Tennessee, in front of the College of Veterinary Medicine. [attribution to the photo cannot be determined]

Saluting America's four-legged heroes of WWII!

The bronz artist actually created 11 of the status when she cast the one on Guam for the United Doberman Club - It was presented at the Doberman Centennial in Topeka and was larger than life. It is stunning to behold and stand forever as a testament to the greatness of our dogs.

Thanks for reminding us Vic45!!!

Didn't know that! Going to have to go over there and get some photos of the dogs with it at some point.

Grateful for all of those that gave their lives in defense of our countries this Memorial Day.

That's such a touching and meaningful statue. I thank all who have served past and present for defending us and our country.
