Hello old friends!!
My dear sweet Remy turned 8 yrs old yesterday and the thought of it just blew my mind. It made me reminisce and reminded me of how he was brought into my life.
I owe it all to this forum and the wonderful, loving people that make up this community. Without DCF I would never have been gifted this beautiful blessing that has made my life whole.
(For those who weren’t around back then, I lost my first dobe “Miesha” to immune-mediated polyarthitis at only 17months. I had raised her from 8 weeks on this forum, meeting dear friends and learning more than I could have ever imagined. From that loss came the greatest gift.. an ACTUAL gift of my boy Remy from an anonymous Angel. Yes!! They are real and on living on earth! Looking at Remy is a daily reminder that there are genuinely GOOD human beings on this earth and I hope to one day be worthy of that gift!
Anyway, it was relayed to me that there was a litter on the way from a breeder that a dear friend on DCF had two beautiful siblings from an earlier litter (@Tropicalbri's ) and that I would have 1st pick of the pups! This was straight out of a fairytale novel! My husband and i didn’t believe it until the day came and it was all confirmed! The pups were out in Texas and another dear friend on DCF @bomary who lived out there, drove out to the breeder when the pups were 5 weeks and FaceTimed with me so I could pick our puppy. She then drove out when he was ready to go home, took him to get his ears cropped and took care of him until he was able to be flown all the way to NY where I live - another selfless Angel in our midst.)
So that is the shortened story of the real goodness of people and the light they brought into my undeserving life.
Wishing you all my love and warmest wishes,
Wendy & Remy
On to the photo bomb! (Our rescue Husky Aubrey and rescue Basset Levon will make an appearance in some photos too!)
