Fast Cat for fun

So after our NQ in obedience on Friday, I wanted to cheer us both up (Asha thought hanging out at a dog show and doing obedience was about the lowest thing I could do to her, despite a few breaks playing ball). The Fast Cat was running 2 trials a day for 4 days and allowed day-of entries, so we went over and got entered and 15 minutes later I took her over with the ball (for me to use at the end to catch her) - she saw that plastic bag and just went nuts. Lunging barking let me have it NUTS. I handed her off to my friend and ran to the other end and Asha flew! No photos, but there was a photographer so I should be able to get one of those in about 10 days or so! First Fast Cat in a couple of years and she clocked the 100 yards in 8,46fullsizeoutput_764.jpegIMG_4286.JPG seconds = 24.17 mph

Ended our weekend on a high note!

I love when fast cat or dock diving allows day of show entries to cheer us up or to use as a reward. We tend to do that a lot. :D :D :D

Can't wait to see pics!! Did you happen to watch any of the conformation? :D

I did - we sat ringside and watched quite a bit. Asha hated that too. But not a peep out of her. She was just wishing it would all go away. Talk about miserable... I couldn't leave her in the car because no shade and it was too hot, even with the aluminet shade cloth.IMG_4257.JPGIMG_4266.JPG

Yay! A neat experience isn't it? Looks like you had a good judge to watch too. Breeder judge Adrian Woodfork! And Ann White with Cambria Dobes is there. One of the greats. They have the top producing dam and sire in dobe breed history.

Poor Asha lol Ripley isn't much better and she goes to shows all the time. She hates waiting ringside...

Someone said that it's one of the biggest shows in the west. The conformation is a bit over my head and went too fast for my eyes. The lady in the red chair explained a lot to me as it went along and was very helpful. She had what I thought was a very nice bitch (GCHB) in the BOB class. No love for her that day. I have a catalog, I think I can find her name. I'm pretty sure I can't muster up enough desire to get involved in conformation though.
