Wow, I've heard how the ones made for dogs don't last but I've always had the horse one.

Albert got this dog version for Christmas (from someone else) and here it is after less than 24 hours of play.

Here is the horse version after 7 years and some very rough play from 2 different males. It looks like the day I got it.

So if you're looking to get a Jolly Ball for your dog it's definitely worth your money to get the horse version and I really don't think the cost is much different.

What I'm putting together by your pictures and my own personal experience is that Demi never chewed on her jolly ball outside and instead plays with it as intended.. It wasn't until she brought it inside one afternoon that she got bored and chewed the handle off.

That could be, but trust me, he works on chewing the handle outside like there's no tomorrow and has never made a dent in it. LOL, Demi is a tough little girl. ;)

Get one of these!image.webpit,s the one that's hard plastic,no handle.Has a screw in plug to put some water in so the ball rolls wonky. They can't collapse it,too big for them to bite.
This one has survived no less than 9?years(probably longer) of Maxie who was the star performer with a jolly ball.Survived several visits from Banshee,my friends Rottie, and will most likely out last Daisy as well.
For the life of me I can't remember where we got it.
After the holidays I have to try and find some video of Maxie with that ball and figure out how to post it.

I only let the kids have the Jolly Ball when we're playing together with it, otherwise they chew off the handle like Jan and VonDoom posted. Cooper also bites the Jolly Ball and it sometimes gets stuck in his mouth because the teeth sink into it and he can't open his mouth wide enough to free it.

I have to try the horse version.

Watson loves his new Jolly Ball, thank you Jan! but when he was first playing with it he was biting at it and got his teeth stuck in the ball, so he only gets to have it when someone is in the same room with him.

I'm glad he likes it! He got the horse version so hopefully it will hold up for a long time. :)

Interesting, the two with the badly chewed handles were both dark blue. I wonder if there could be a fault in the dark blue mix that makes it softer? We've had the red dog one for 3 years now and it shows little damage to the handle, though Spock did manage to pop it after only a few months. Seemed rather proud of himself about that, too.

Spent 20 bucks on this yesterday.(horse version) While I was unloading the car, Geist was playing with it.
It took him 2 minutes and it popped!
Still played with, but geez nothing seems to last.:(

Get the hard one!
I'm sure ours it at least 10 years old by now.

I guess I didn't think of the hard one, as they only had the soft one. It came back up overnight.
So instead of grabbing by the handle, he just indents the ball. He still loves it. But that sure was a bummer.

Has anybody gotten the romp-n-roll Jolly ball with the rope going through it? Gonna get Spike one...He is not a super chewer but he does like to play with balls (that sounds bad lol) He has a small, large grapefruit size one he likes to seize and throw, it is so fun to watch him play!

I've never seen one but I could imagine how much Albert could get it swinging with the rope for leverage. LOL

Yep I have that one with the rope through lol he loves it :) actually picked out himself lol I will say this though my guy not a chewer but after a week or two of swinging that wrecking ball around the rope doesn't hold up as I hoped it would... But heck it's still attached and he still plays with it lol

Here is my dogs Horse Jolly Ball. I'm not sure if I got him the hard dog one, he would play with it.
We have the giant black Jolly treat hider, but none of the dogs like it- after the treat is gone. We also
had the blue tube treat holder from Jolly, and that only held up a few hours.
