Anyone feeding 50/50 grain&grain free ?

I've been reading about the various types of nutrition. I have read where some grain is good but to much grain is not a good thing. With all the warnings against using 100 percent grain free I have continued to feed Fromm Adult Gold chicken and rice which is grain inclusive. Since Fromm does offer a wide range of grain and grain free foods I wondered about maybe doing a 50/ 50 mix between the two. Just wondering if any of you are doing this type of mix ? It doesn't necessarily have to be Fromm, just wondering if your mixing grain and grain free ? Thanks for your thoughts and comments.

I haven't mixed the two but it's hard to know what to do with all of the different things that come out on nearly a daily basis.

I also feed Fromm but I want to get some other proteins in. I haven't thought about a 50/50 combo. I agree with Jan though. So hard to choose what to feed if you are on kibble with all the info that's out there. Now you have me thinking of doing Fromm and Orijens six fish. I fed my previous dog Orijen exclusively but saw some peas and such in their ingredients. But they are pretty far down on the list so maybe a 50/50 mix would be beneficial.

    Curious what others think.

I’m a bit rusty on the kibble info, but I recall learning that you can rotate proteins between the same brands, but not changing up brands too frequently...something about nutritional profiles affecting bone calcium content? Or maybe it was more of a concern for puppies because they are building their skeletons? We got off kibble around 6-7 months old, so maybe someone else can pick up my train of thought here :wacky:
