no barking

Hello guys, my dobie Joy, he's 6 months old now. He never barks or protective. Is it normal at this age. He barks (cries) when he needs anything but never a aggressive one.

We recently adopted an approximately 2 year old Dobe, and have had him about 6 weeks now. He is a rescue, and comes with a bit of separation anxiety and shyness issues which we are working on. It does appear that he was abused before being rescued which of course breaks my heart. But he is super...
