If my puppy's ear posts/tape gets wet and I am unable to change it for two days, what happens??

Please help! :( I am out of town this entire weekend and won't be back in town for another 3 days so I dropped my 7 month pup off at a pet hospital that does boarding to stay at until I get back. This is his first time doing boarding. I went and saw the kennels there and they were pretty clean...
