    Ear post question

Hi Jolene, Thank you 😊 We did change the direction of the folds, her ears are coming along beautifully, about another month or two left of posting and then she should be all done! Yay! Here is a pic of her in between her postings :)

    Ear post question

Thank you so much!! I just wasn’t sure if it was indeed a natural crease or if I needed to try and correct it, but I certainly didn’t want to try and “fix something that wasn’t broke” lol thanks so much for the clarification. I really appreciate all your help 😊

    Ear post question

Hi everyone, Posting has been going good, Tess will be 5 months old on Friday, and she’s been losing her baby teeth over the house! lol I do have yet another question (shocking I know) we’ve noticed Tess has a crease in the back of both ears, its mostly only visible when she’s not holding her...

    Ear post question

Thanks again for the advice! It’s been super helpful throughout this process…and continuing through it too! 😁

    Ear post question

Thank you both for the replies. I never thought of what could happen to her ears while she’s sleeping! 😳 which is why I do appreciate all the helpful advice. 😊 Her right ear tends to bend inward more than what the pic shows, it’s the best shot I could get since she’s miss “move move move”...

    Ear post question

Hey y’all, Another question about posting, it’s been going well, thanks for all y’all’s helpful advice, my question is, we’ve noticed Tessa is beginning to pull her right ear slightly inward over her head now when she’s at alert. Do I need to add a bumper to that post or should I leave that post...

    Ear post question

Remy is so handsome! 💙 We started with a solid bridge make out of a pool noodle, for her 1st 2 postings, then went to a bridge made out of tape for her 3rd posting, this last post, we left off the bridge all together, she seems to be holding her ears fairy well, and definitely brings them to...

    Ear post question

Thanks Jan! I appreciate the feedback and advice. 😊 I did start the tape on the backer rod and gently wrapped it around towards the back, I was so worried about causing a crease where there shouldn’t be one. 😳

    Ear post question

Ok, another question, we changed Tessa’s post tonight. This is the first post after we folded the front ear flap towards the back like we should have been doing, so can you all tell me if this looks like it should? I’m worried I may (or may not be) folding it back either to much or maybe not...

    Ear post question

Yes, agreed! The breeder who we got Tess from said she had to make the appt for this litter of puppies last year to ensure she could even get an appt with her. I did some research on Dr Midgarden online and she is highly regarded and much sought after, so I do feel super lucky. I worry so much...

    Ear post question

lol I’m definitely back taping the backer rod and worry I am cramming them to far! 😂 I also use a tab of benzoin of tincture on her inner ear before I place the taped post in her ear, it helps the tape/post to stay in better. Tessa doesn’t really fuss with her posts that much, she’ll...

    Ear post question

Yes, we wrapped the backer rod with duct tape 3x and then we back taped it as well. The tape we are using to back tape is black so I’m sure it’s hard to differentiate what’s what. lol

    Ear post question

Thanks Ravenbird, I wasn’t sure if I was placing it to far back, I thought that could be the reason her ears were leaning forward some. She gets reposted Saturday evening, I’ll try using just one piece of tape at the top/bottom Her cut is a medium long, according to Dr Midgarden, who did...

    Ear post question

Thank you, I appreciate any help! I try and cut the post about a 1/4 inch above her ear tip, I’m so afraid to go any shorter for fear of cutting her ear tips, especially since she’s such a wiggle butt while posting. Is that to ok or should I try to cut the post as close to her ear too as...

    Ear post question

Thank you all so much for your advice. I’m sure I’m overthinking/worrying about this. It’s my first pup and so I’m just nervous I’m not doing something I should be or doing something I shouldn’t be! lol I appreciate all the advice! It really is so helpful to me to know I’m using the right...

    Ear post question

Thank you for the helpful advice! With the bridge off, she definitely flops, mostly forward, if I make a squeaky sound she definitely erects her ears, but I’m afraid with her being 12 weeks and only using the bridge for a week, her ears will start to “form” laying forward, if that can happen...

    Ear post question

Thank you for the help! We are using 1/2 in backer rod with cotton on the bottom, the post are staying in, not coming out, they just lean very far forward without the bridge. I only used the bridge for a week, should I have used it longer? Or is the backer rod maybe too heavy for her? Without...

    Ear post question

Oh thank you so much! I feel better knowing I’m not appearing crazy with all these questions! 😜 lol With that said (lol) I only used a bridge for a week, two, 3 day postings. Should I be using it longer? She seems to have decent control over her bases, but, then again, I’m new at this, so...
