So I've been off the form for awhile aside from the occasional lurking but it's been a little busy over here lately with me halfway through my first pregnancy and this gorgeous girl still with so much energy! (they do eventually slow down, right?) She is still so fun to train and we could not...
I have the "mini educator" but we have only briefly tried it since I thought she was still a little young to grasp it but definitely am planning on bringing it out more now. I really want to work on her recall mostly.
That is such a true dobie trait I think haha!
I feel like whenever we see people and they are always like "dannng she's a beast" and we usually quirk up with "she's just a big teddy bear" well... now that may not be 100% true :facepalm:I mean I know she's a Doberman and definitely not a soft mouthed dog so I suppose something like this was...
Thank you! I was irritated that be brought in that toy, there were tons of dogs there and Kimber was clearly obsessed with it so he should have just took it back to his car or something- no need for toys like you said they just like to run and chase each other! It just was so scary how quickly...
Kimber is now 11 months old, she has never shown a tiny bit of aggression ever. On our walks we have trained her that if an off leash dogs comes running up to us, she sits next to us and does not engage. It's been great and we've never had an issue. I am pregnant (15 weeks now) and I since...
@AresMyDobie, what steps did you go through to have it acceptable for your dog to fly in cabin as an ESA? From what I had gathered online ESA does not matter it needs to be a certified service dog? My husband has PTSD and since having our Dobie and training with her it really helps my husband...
It seems like all her littermates are on the same heavy weight size, but they all look healthy and not overweight! The sire is a Sant Kreal so I suppose that could be a factor? I'm just so curious as to what her weight is going to top out at.... :blush-alt:
She has grown up too quickly!
We did the "Tri-State Peak" Trail which is just 1.3 miles each way however it's pretty much vertical haha but you end up being in Virginia, Kentucky & Tennessee all at once so we had to do it! The selfie of my husband is pretty funny because Kimber & I were pretty much dying on the ground...
Thank you!! We are pretty obsessed with her-- and so impressed with how extremely well she did on this trip. 11 hours in the truck also and she did so good, we stopped every 3 hours or so but other than that she just slept or chilled. And did so good even with me relentlessly making her "place"...
It was actually so cheap! The good reviews encouraged me to let it be worth the risk and the fact it came with the pouches was awesome! I just bought the water bottle molle. We've used it quite a few times now and I even attach her leash to it and walk her directly from it and it's not ripping...
Thank you! We don't really let her off leash it was just for short periods of time while taking photos-- during then she does do great though! Always comes back when called or if I act like I'm leaving her haha. There weren't many others out since it was pretty rainy that morning also. I think...
As some of you have seen my photos of us on our pit stop at the War Dog Memorial, here are some photos of Kimber at Cades Cove and on the Gatlinburg Trail (the only dog friendly trail in the Smoky Mountains unfortunately--- unless you go over to NC) She is 7 months old now and we've been working...
We got a harness to use with a seatbelt clip for her when traveling in the car and since it has a nice handle on the back it's actually useful for walks as well. We started her on a prong around 5 months old though so she rarely pulls and walks really well for only being 7 months old. This...
Anyone ever been? My husband is a marine so of course when we were planning our latest vacation and learned this was along the way in Knoxville, TN we had to stop and get some photos! I took some on my "real" camera too, these are just off my phone as we aren't back home yet.
