Ayman's petition video for world-wide health testing

Ayman is in Oslo, Norway, but the Facebook group is all over the world. He used Rocky, Melody and Alex as some of the faces of dogs who died too young of DCM. Note, there are also rescue photos here, which are heartbreaking, as many of you know. Please join and share (you don't have to do...

    Miesha has bone cancer...

Let's hope that she just wrenched her hip from too much running and playing, and the "mass" is just soft tissue swelling from a pulled tendon or something... does she have some pain medicine? More good vibes and wishes coming your way. lois

    Losing my old man tonight

Dale - He was such a handsome, distinguished guy. It's a hard but a loving thing to allow your canine loved ones to go without pain or trauma. I have held most of our dogs and cats as they passed, and loved them into the next world. You did a kind thing, and you have our condolences and a big hug.

    Milk????????

Not only is lactose intolerance an issue, but lactose is a sugar, and any sugars are not especially good for dogs except in their most natural forms - and dogs don't naturally drink milk. But I also give my dogs very high quality, multiple culture yogurt or kefir about once a week, because...

    Faded color on reds?

I'm a firm believer in reality and nature - so if we allowed red (and fawn and blue) to become accepted Doberman colors, then it stands to reason we need to accept the things that naturally result. I think I'll try the kelp because of my own curiosity, and it's a very nutritious vegie anyway, so...

    Faded color on reds?

A few folks have recommended a pumice stone or shedding block, so I will try that (but probably not in time for this weekend. We have lots of shade, but when they run and play, it's in the sun, and I'm not gonna restrict her life because her hair might get coppery. Showing doesn't mean that much...

    Faded color on reds?

Hi - I'm asking this all over the place, to see what the general consensus is... Willie and Annie have areas of hair turn a coppery color- we're in southern California, so the sun is bright and strong, and we're outside a lot. And I am just wondering - for those who show their dogs - is this...

    meet our dogs

These are pictures of our 2 red monsters. Until fairly recently, we had 4 Dobes, but within a short time, 3 died of sudden cardiac failure (each at only 6 years old), and only 1 from that group remains (he is 6 1/2 - his brother died the day after Thanksgiving)... so every day we wonder, and...

Dobermans Not Allowed on Army Bases Due to Aggressive Nature? Huh?

Hey Chad, it's nice to see you here! And yes, there have been multiple articles about the idiotic and disingenuous banning of Dobes in military housing. I could see there being a rule that ALL dogs in military housing (and maybe in all housing projects and other close-quarters dwellings, as...
