    Winston’s Ear Journey

He loves the table! He drags a chair out so he can climb on it and then climb up top. He is only 15 weeks so his rear leg strength is still very weak, he can climb up but can’t jump out of his own shadow The little one is very mellow and definitely just observes, they’re a great pair!

    Winston’s Ear Journey

The vet crops and helps with aftercare for a well esteemed breeder but yes I know a lot of them give bad advice. He went overnight with no posts but we reposted in the morning as I don’t want to have him have any damage. Even with him being tired and lazy they have not seemed to be close to...

    Winston’s Ear Journey

Winstons ears are looking great, we took out his posts today and his ears have stood up for 5 hours. He is fully swiveling them, it’s great to see. We will likely post him again tomorrow but his aftercare vet told us that with his leather and crop he may only need to be cropped until 4 months...

    Winston’s Ear Journey

A little question for anyone that has advice, one tip seems to be growing with no fold at all, should I maybe tape that tip differently? Here is a pic from when his posts were out. Also his new favorite place to hang out!

    Winston’s Ear Journey

Our Manchester is 6 years old so he has slowed down a tad but he loves his little (big) brother and is very patient with him. They play pretty rough but if one yelps the other comes and kisses him. They do very very well together. He had a great temperament and is very loyal but not the best...

    Winston’s Ear Journey

So my wife took this pic and thought some of you would like to see, our Manchester Terrier Wesley and Winston together. Posts only last around 4 days with our boys playing all the time but his ears are standing great when the posts are out and no issues so far! Our vet says he should be ok to...

    Winston’s Ear Journey

Ears are looking good, he plays a ton with his brother so he’s rather hard on his posts and one popped out. This was before cleaning and reposting. Seems like one is leaning in a bit, added pictures of the backs of his ears, does everyone think they are ok? Or pocketing a bit too much? Thanks!

    Winston’s Ear Journey

Thank you! His ear is a little red inside is that considered normal? It smells but not like infection, more like dog ear that hasn’t breathed haha. We used 2 vets, this vet was not able to crop it (family trip planned) but is great. She has been cropping and posting for a long time and hasn’t...

    Winston’s Ear Journey

Our vet actually did a demo for us and we are planning on posting ourselves. We’ve already posted once but during one of his somersaults he pulled one out. Our rod comes in today so we will repost ASAP but his ear is totally up and has been for around a half hour. He moves it around and lays it...

    Winston’s Ear Journey

Sutures are out, everything is healed perfectly except for one spot on the bottom of his ear but it is exposed with his posts. Not infected or anything but healing a little slow. Vet has a lot of experience with Dobermans and posted his ears this time and showed us the ropes. She did not put on...

    Winston’s Ear Journey

I didn’t receive ointment, they did give me Simplicef as the antibiotic as well as Rimadyl as an anti inflammatory. We bought some Dermoplast to help with the itching (I saw it recommended on a thread here) but besides that we have not applied anything directly to his ears.

    Winston’s Ear Journey

Yes his paws are huge! Compared to other dogs the same age on here he seems to be a bit more flabby too so I am thinking he’s going to be huge soon! He’s already gained around 3 lbs in a week and a half. Here is a pic from this morning, it almost like it was scabbing up overnight, though there...

    Winston’s Ear Journey

Ok great! Here are 2 more pictures just because I am a little paranoid and would feel terrible if he went through something I can avoid. Plus a picture of him with his floppy ears! And yes the vet went really into depth on what she would do with the cup and matched a lot of what my research on...

    Winston’s Ear Journey

Hey all, our 11 week old boy just had his ears cropped yesterday. He doesn’t seem to be in any discomfort but his right ear seems to be oozing a bit. Is this normal? I am not sure if it is trying to scab, if I am overthinking it, or if it is an issue. First picture is the oozing ear and the...
