    Doberman Hat

Just popping in to say I do still have an account and read threads occasionally! I'm obviously not very active but you are always welcome to get in touch with me. I don't remember if there's a private messaging function here and if so, does it send an email alert? The easiest way to get me is...

    Experience with Sirai Dobermans?

Hey there...I'm sorry. I pretty much never log in. If you still have questions you're welcome to email me at [email protected]. I know Charlene was planning another litter but with the covid-19 situation she's putting it off for a bit. I'd be happy to chat about my Sirai girl.

    Just popping in

And there's certainly variety, as Jan mentioned, since both of my dogs have show crops, but the length is different on each dog and the style is different. Each cropper really has their own style, since it's really an art.

    Just popping in

Just wanted to pop in to say hello! Richter and Sypha are doing great. Sypha just turned 2 back in December and Richter is now 5 1/2. Sypha earned her first Nosework title in December, so that's pretty exciting, too. Both dogs are competing in Nosework and Sypha is also doing agility...

    Nosework jobs?

Yes! Richter's containers NW trial the weekend before was 90 degrees! Now this weekend was 40 and heavy rain. Awful!

    Nosework jobs?

On the Nosework "topic" I'm pleased to report that Sypha passed all three of her ORTs this weekend! She's just 17 months old and mostly home trained...I've only taken a few class sessions with her. We had a long day sitting in the car in very cold (42 degrees!), rainy conditions waiting to...

    Exactly!

    Denali's first title

Congrats! We love Nosework. Richter has his NW1, L1C, L1I, L1V, L1E. He's trying for his NW2 in a few weeks. Sypha takes her ORTs next weekend.

    Nosework jobs?

We also train in NACSW - Richter has five titles in that organization. Sypha takes her ORTs this weekend. Medikay9 - thank you for what you do. HRD has always fascinated me. I love scentwork and have seriously considered trying to train in that, but I know that *I* don't have what it takes...

    Thoughts on Orijen food?

Both of my dogs eat Fromm. One eats a formula with grain, one a grain free. Both look spectacular.

    Running leash recommendations

I have used the Stunt Puppy waist leash, which has an adjustable waist for humans and a bungee leash for the dog. I really like and recommend it. Stunt Puppy - Hands Free Leashes - Active Dog Gear - Made in USA

An (early) happy easter from the MeadowCats!

Awww, thanks. She's really started to mature now...hard to believe she's 16 months old!

Twin Cities MN echocardiogram clinic - April 22 - space available

We've had two different locations, Jan - it sort of depends on where we can get a location at the lowest cost, so that we don't have to pass any extra cost on over and above what Dr. Olson charges for the echos. We STRONGLY believe in providing this opportunity at as low a price as we can, so...

    Intestinal Blockage??

I absolutely agree with Archer - especially with a dog with a history of eating things. I would be getting an x-ray, myself, even if just for the peace of mind knowing there was nothing in there. Blockages can be very deadly. Even partial blockages can be deadly, especially with the potential...

Twin Cities MN echocardiogram clinic - April 22 - space available

Jan, this is our second year doing one in April, so we'll be trying to do another next April, too (if you want to plan ahead). I'll have TWO dogs to test (eek...that's hard on the wallet!), and I know another club member that will probably have two or three), so it won't take a lot to hit our...

Twin Cities MN echocardiogram clinic - April 22 - space available

The Twin Cities Doberman club is hosting an echo clinic on April 22nd and we still have some slots available if anyone is interested in getting an echo done. The clinic is with Dr. Janet Olson, cardiologist, and the cost is $275/dog. Contact me if you would like a registration form or more...

    Intestinal Blockage??

I wanted to add another recommendation for a Primo Pad in the bottom of your crate, and to remove bedding. Both of my dogs when through phases when they could not have bedding in a crate (Richter STILL can't). Primo Pads provide some cushioning, and if you have a wire crate you can get the...
