The vet and I both think it was a stab wound to the inner cheek. He is a chewer of sticks and old bones when he can sneak one. The wound is large because the abscess capsule was tough and in an awkward place because of all those important facial nerves. No nerve damage thankfully. 👍

Clancy has had an abscess. He was treated with antibiotics but needed to have it drained and removed a week later. I removed the drain yesterday but there's still 9 days until I can remove the stitches. He has been really good with the vets, the cone of shame and all his meds. I'm really proud...

A bouquet of toes. 🤪 Clancy had his nails Dremelled, his first proper bath with shower nozzle and played himself dry. Not happy about a shower but tolerated it without panic. 👍

Very interesting. If I could have had another Dobe X Ridgeback I would, but Clancy and I are probably a better fit considering my age, which I hate to admit! Looking at both the Greyhound and border collie mixes I'm sort of thinking Clancy might have a fair bit of Greyhound in there.

There was a camp a distance away that were partying and cracking a whip which kept the lad on alert for quite a while. He settled in the end so a perfect introduction to some noisyness. 😉
