My eldest granddaughter Evie joined us at the activity field today, she tried to wear Achilles out it didn't go as she planned.

What sort of time do you call this in the morning it's a Saturday surly I should get a lay in after a very hard working week 😅

Achilles trying to get his new friends to play with him, even dropped his ball in front of them to tempt them but still no joy.

We had a get together with my sons girlfriends dog Phoebe who is a Romanian rescue street dog this is the first time they have seen each other and are normally both very reactive to other dogs, they got on amazingly well no growling barking or aggressive behaviour, was really good to see them...

Always on guard keeping us safe from the postman.

At last Achilles has learnt to have a relaxing nap in the afternoon without having a ball in his mouth only 15 months to get here!

I have to fully wash him everyday 😩 it is very time consuming and we have to leave the field early so I can clean him sufficiently before putting him in the car, then I wash him in nice warm water with dog shampoo when I get him home I'm so looking forward to the long spell of wet weather to end.

Achilles getting into his normal extremely muddy state at the activity field we still haven't had a break from the rain for so long.

Achilles with his usual ball in mouth pose, we go to tothe activity field every day have been doing this for 31/2 months due to me now requiring a hip replacement so not able to give him normal walks, we have had rain nearly constantly since early November so he gets incredibly wet and muddy.

It's hard to believe it's a year ago today we first got Achilles, he has brought so much joy to our lives we didn't expect after losing King and thinking we couldn't go through that heartache again, not ever having a rescue dog before it has been such a beautiful experience for us to have...

I'm so very sorry for your loss, so wonderful he got a great time in his last hours with you, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time. :sorrow:run free sweet boy.

Today is Achilles 5th birthday so going to make it a special day, extra time at the activity field and a steak dinner this evening, he is a very special boy to us even if he can be very naughty sometimes 😉.
