    Happy Ratters

Our club has held Fetch dog, ATT and FDC in conjunction with a nearby AKC club. Trick Dog could be done virtually last I checked and my friend here in town has a more advanced Fit Dog title. With that one it's an honor system where you track the miles you walk your dog and do some other sport...

    Happy Ratters

Nice to see you again Art! The happy ratters sounds very interesting for sure since I don't see much for barn hunt here. I know a club to our west is having a rat seminar in a few weeks but I think it's full already.

    Wobbler research study from DPCA

In this case it is for health reasons so it doesn't have to be show lines. They're more looking to do research on what is causing Wobblers and the underlying cause.

Just for fun, since there are so many experienced dobe folk here with other big strong dog history...

You're right about their list of high risk dogs (and the Doberman is on it) but thankfully we live out in the sticks and our ins. company is fine with any breed.

Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2026

That's so Elroy. LOL This is from a few days ago but I never pulled it off the camera. It was a beautiful day for basking on the deck without getting too hot. And yesterday it was too hot so Elroy was waiting by the door but Olive was ready to stay out and enjoy the heat.

    Millie. Coming in hot.

That's exactly the way it's been with all of our dogs. I assumed my friends Dobermans were trained the same way but they sent me for a good roll when I stayed put. LOL

Playing with other dogs - opinions needed

I would keep it to leash walking with some training at the same time. You don't want your pup to become submissive or aggressive around other dogs after being bullied as a youngster. I'm not saying the other dog is bullying him but many other breeds have a different way of playing and it can...

    Gum/Mouth Issue

Aww poor guy! I don't have a clue but some have said that even if they get a small splinter of wood or something under the gum line it can be very painful. Keep us posted.
