Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2026

Of course the emergency medical care for animals in most states in the US has gotten horrible too with the big corporate buyouts in the industry. The after hours emergency vet they try to pawn us off on is 1.5 hours away and I refuse to go to them after all of the horror stories. One of Olive...

Adult or Puppy food at 12 months?

Oh dear that is a very dominant behavior and I would nip it in the bud ASAP. I don't mean by neutering but by not giving in to his antics and instead making him go out on your terms without allowing the hormonal behavior.

Whoa~! Rein 'em in here and show your horse! 2026

You must have gotten one of those quacks who give all chiropractors a bad name. We've had one for years and you don't hear that loud cracking you see on some of the videos and it didn't hurt at all. The animal chiro is also a holistic doc and he is excellent, not to mention he comes to you when...

Adult or Puppy food at 12 months?

Neutering won't help SSA with these breeds.

Adult or Puppy food at 12 months?

If he's only a year old I would seriously wait on neutering for at least another year. Many vets will push it but it is not good for breeds like this.

This morning when hubby walked down to get the paper there was a skunk at the end of the driveway that didn't want to move. He tried to stomp at it and it raised it's tail but it was facing him. He decided to just skirt way around it and get the paper anyway. I would have personally turned...

    100lb bag of kibble

These days it's tough to even find 50# bags in the better food. Perhaps you could contact the company to see about buying bulk but dry kibble does have a shelf life so we like to keep it fresh.

Whoa~! Rein 'em in here and show your horse! 2026

Back in the 70's there were a bunch of farriers around here who were actually throwing the horses natural stance off. They would take the heels way down and leave the toes really long, so they were almost standing on their fetlocks. That's when I decided to invest in a good set of nippers and...

    Queston Les Deux Peupliers

Welcome from Minnesota, USA! We have at least one other member here from Australia @jazzies mum so maybe she has more ideas where you could check. I don't know if you have something like Embark available there but you can do a quick mouth swab to see what your own dogs vWD status is. Unless...

Whoa~! Rein 'em in here and show your horse! 2026

I've heard a lot of horse owners are doing something equivalent to a dremel for hooves these days but I have mixed feelings about that. I could see that in place of a rasp or file but not to use it for the whole hoof when it involves so many things on a horse.

A couple ringside photos I bought from the photographer at our show. It was hubby's first time in the ring and I think he did a good job with his girl.

Adult or Puppy food at 12 months?

And that is the main thing since all dogs are different. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. LOL
