There is a Spoo owner on the other forum, very knowledgeable-show mostly but I'm intrigued about the hunting side. I also like the looks and intimidation factor of a black Spoo with a close cut all over...wannabe "curly coat dobe!" I agree, great all around family functional dog properly...

Hmmm. Spitz tail, not like a Beauce dropped low. Fifth toe? my search engine says is Briard standard, or Newfy. All dogs have some webbing but is more larger in water dogs, in daschunds too but to dig... That face looks like Rottie smile. Greenland Malemutes like water. Alaska Black Shepherd...

I'm sure...ours was too. Only slightly kidding, on "Killer" just because of intimidating size and I'm intrigued on those references to how he "saved your life several times". This IS highly useful. Sometimes when talking with other owners of well behaved dogs, tsk-tsking at the clueless doodle owners who can't understand why their mutt is so out of control at the dog park, I will sometimes observe...well, the poodle was originally a high drive hunting dog bred to go...

More: "The focus on breeding to closed gene pools (Breed Registries) for exaggerated traits in the Mastiff has also led to health issues related to inbreeding. Inbreeding reduces genetic diversity, resulting in a higher prevalence of hereditary diseases and health problems (Leroy, 2011). In...

Thanks @Nordika - I had a big Neufy mix, and I guess my memory fails on what I recall from breed origin. But that dog was so gentle and protective of our infant son...bring a tear to my eye still. I had to teach him to swim as he'd been rescued from being shut in a garage all day...afraid of...
