Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2025

Every bit of that falls under the 'Security' column of expenses on my taxes. :) A highly mobile, interactive, all weather capable, semi-autonomous, low profile, stealth, night vision capable, fully programmable 'No Trespassing' sign.

    Food for large breeds?

I am right there with you on the budget thing being an important factor for me AND with adding supplements here and there. Have been feeding mine the Diamond Naturals stuff from TSC for a few years now and the girls seem to do fine on it. Always add something extra in there and try to change...

Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2025

I never stop being amazed at many of the different members here collars that they have for their fidos. :) That collar in your picture above is NICE! :)

Added a new Dobergirl to the family!

Hoping you is correct cause with Agatha being a 'used' dog she only came with the 30 minute / 30 miles warranty and I can't return her now. (30 minutes from time of purchase or 30 minutes from her house - Whichever occurs first...) :)

    Katyusha and Zastava

Anything you share here is welcome and tends to help me learn and grow to be a better Doberman owner. That is a good thing in my opinion. :)

Added a new Dobergirl to the family!

Went to go out the front doors for the first time today and Agatha completely locked up when she got to the steps leading down to that entry. :) Even after Dystopia and I went down to the landing Agatha was stuck up there like there was a force field holding her back from taking that first step...

Doberman puppy owners - track your weight gain here

I doubt Agatha has made it 60lbs yet but I is doing my best to get her there! :) She was 56.2lbs when she came to live here at a smidge over 2 yrs old. My Vet checked her out and 'did' suggest I put a little meat on her butt so... There was green beans and baked potatoes tossed in with her...

Critters and wildlife in your area - post your pics

I thought it was pretty cool when I saw this one last year. But then I remembered how many machines I have to keep plastic tarps over when not in use because of birds getting in the shop and pooping on them... :) Blew my mind that that bird would come up to that particular machine like...

Eris - Adulthood anxiety & eCollar issues

If a person wants a dog that behaves like a Labrador - They should not buy a Doberman and try to train it to act like a Labrador. Better to just buy the Labrador to begin with.. :)

    Resource Guarding Pit Bull

I tend to feed all of mine together and I only have a handful of hard 'rules' for them that I personally enforce if needed. Each dog has their own bowl and is to stay away from any other bowls that are NOT theirs and Stay away from any other dog that is still eating. The pit would not be...

    Mobile rodent home

Had a pair out in the front yard one day off leash (a very stranger unfriendly pair) and the Animal Control truck comes down the street and stopped in front of my house. Guy stopped, got out and walked onto the edge of the property all smiles / full of confidence and squatted down low right at...

Added a new Dobergirl to the family!

Pretty sure it was not 'easy' for her previous owner to have to rehome her (because of the circumstances there and because I have another dog here both) so... I try to keep Agathas previous owner updated on how she is doing and how everybody is getting along. If the roles were reversed and I...

Added a new Dobergirl to the family!

Three females would be much worser - Unpossibile to ever expect that sort of stuff to work out. Dystopia and this girl became BFF's pretty much instantly when the new girl walked in the door - I have been testing new girl a bunch to see how she follows (or 'if' she follows) commands...

Added a new Dobergirl to the family!

I will be glad if Agatha can help Dystopia shed 5 to 10lbs of stuff she don't need. :) Agatha is crazy fast when she wants to be. :) Both girls seem to be having a blast playing with each other and so far Agatha has shown perfect bite inhibition (mouthy as a normal Doberman but not squeezing...

Eris - Adulthood anxiety & eCollar issues

Every single time I have raised a pair of Dobermans it has been more or less just like you described right there. Finding a pair that behaves exactly the same is something I have never seen personally. Does not matter if they are trained exactly the same or have the same parents or... They...

Eris - Adulthood anxiety & eCollar issues

You got to cook them properly for the dogs to learn to love them... :) Except the feet... Those you can just clip and dispense! :) Me personally, I can't stand duck meat. Even the smell of it cooking turns my tummy. Teriyaki sauce helps bigly with the smell... :)

    Food for large breeds?

Whelp, We is just gonna have to 'agree to disagree' on that one! :) I saw Dystopias dad at the kennel outside of the clinic a few years ago. He looked like a puppy compared to her! :) Agatha is closer to the 'normal' size for a female Doberman and should end up about 65ish lbs once I get her...

    My beautiful Jazz is gone

I guess you could say I have adopted 2 dogs so far in my lifetime. Both at right about 2 yrs of age. The first was a Great Pyrnese (mostly) mix and a nightmare. Dog came with every single type of worm and parasite known to doggie kind + a wide spectrum of mental / behavioral problems that I...
