Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2025

That black and tan one means business. Not hard to see that that dog is serious . It has that look that says 'You could have calmly walked away but no... You had to be dumb'. :) Awesome picture and awesome work you put in. :)

    Spay and heat cycles

Only special girls have that one extra smaller one in the very back for 'just in case' they need it. In my experience, When you see that - It is a big red flag that you have an awesome dog. :) It's not any sort of voodoo stuff or anything like that. It's a genectic sort of marker thing...

    Teeth questions

I thought I had seen enough Doberman teeth over the years to have a general idea of what they were supposed to look like but this has me stumped. Could someone please take a look at these and tell me if I am just imagining stuff or not? This is Dystopias front teeth (about 8yrs old and in need...

Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2025

Agatha (the new girl that is supposed to be at the bottom of the totem pole here) does that same exact stuff to Dystopia every chance she gets. I try to discourage the sitting on the other dog junk as best I can but it still happens. :(

    Dogs need dog friends...

I have done the peroxide thing even WHEN I knew it was stuff that could likely 'pass through' safely just to teach whichever dog a 'lesson' about stealing and how if I really want MY stuff back - I WILL get my stuff back. If does not hurt them but they quickly learn to hate it and in short...

    Spay and heat cycles

Which is exactly WHY I plan to introduce underwear training to Agatha before she really 'needs' to be wearing (and keeping on) underwear when I want her to be wearing them. :) Will be a lot less cleaning for me to get her somewhat used to the idea now when there is no messy stuff going on than...

    Durable toy recommendations?

I got the small one (slightly bigger than a baseball) and it is solid other than the bore through the center for sticking treats or whatever in. Same hard rubber as the bigger ones for horses.

    Dogs need dog friends...

Was using this tool one day and had a soda craving so ran out for less than 5 minutes to grab one. When I had left there were 6 washers and 6 wing nuts in a neat pile on the floor next to the drum. When I got home those things were spread everywhere and a few inside of the girls crates with...

    Durable toy recommendations?

You sure she did not split it in half so she could SHARE with the other dog? :)

    Dogs need dog friends...

Nothing like coming in and finding a half of a tennis ball laying on the floor knowing darn well one of them ate the part that is missing but you have no idea which one it was! :) So far, no matter how many times that sort of stuff has happened to me over the years I have never guessed...

    Durable toy recommendations?

:) I was trying to save money on dog stuff and now (thanks to you) I got to go buy a wobbleWAGgiggle ball! :) Agatha loves her some balls but sadly they don't last very long before they don't really work like a ball any longer! Local TSC here carries a good bit of the jolly ball stuff in...

    Tribute to Ray Carlisle

That is a good thing. We only get one ride on the merry go round of life (same as our dogs).

Doberman puppy owners - track your weight gain here

She looks perfect in the recent pictures you have shared. :) You got a right to be proud of her for sure! :)

Doberman puppy owners - track your weight gain here

You are better off with her being the size / weight she is in my opinion. If she gains a tiny bit as she gets older and slows down some it won't be that bad. She will still be in a good / normal range. What you don't want is one that is overweight to begin with and THEN they get older and...

Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2025

VERY glad to hear she is doing well and getting back into her 'normal'. :) Guessing you have the hard part behind you now and it will smooth sailing from here on out?

Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2025

Back when I did chickens here the girls never had a problem with any of the birds. EVER... As many eggs as those dogs ate (given to them) back then - Pretty sure they knew exactly where them tasty treats came from. :)

How do I correct sudden aggression towards our senior dog?

I 'thought' I had it rough having an older female Doberman and a much younger female Doberman at the same time but you got me beat. I do find myself having to step in here and there on occasion to tell the young one to 'Get AWAY from my dog!'. Depending on how 'wound up' younger girl is at...
