Help- puppy reacting to every type of tape

Update to the update. The paper tape is absolutely the way to go here for her. They look absolutely beat to heck more quickly clean wise, but they stay up for days, and no ear issues for the moment.

Help- puppy reacting to every type of tape

Just wanted to update- I did end up adding a single piece of tape at the midpoint, and the posts made it until this morning before they popped out, which isn't really that bad compared to even with tape attached in three places. Usually three days is as long as they make it with this many young...

Help- puppy reacting to every type of tape

I have not tried Micropore yet. That's a great idea. Yesterday evening I put them in with just the turbots for the first time after seeing the thread here about that. I will admit I was doubtful, because I think the Skin Prep in general makes things not hold as well, but fingers crossed, so...

Help- puppy reacting to every type of tape

Yeah, the breeder is pretty anti-Coban because she’s seen the issues it has caused, and that has me nervous too. It is a spot for sure. We have four dogs and they play rough. I feel so bad for her because it’s been an issue since she was cropped and cupped. I kept hoping a change of tape or...

Help- puppy reacting to every type of tape

I've got an almost four month old puppy that is having a lot of problem with reactions to tape. We've done latex free, multiple brands, Skin Prep too, and I and the breeder are running out of ideas so I'd thought I'd ask here. I've been all over posts here as well as DPCA website. I'm...

Picking a show prospect is hard and I'm stuck!

Hi- I don't post much, just generally lurk, but just needed to mentally process all of this and was hoping for words of wisdom. We've been waiting about a year and a half now for a puppy from a specific breeder, the litters are here and now pick is imminent. This will hopefully be the one that...

    Having two Dobermans/dogs

Well, I am new here and am learning from this forum that not all dobies are alike! But we have had three large dogs (and three tough cats!) at once for a very long time and, granted, while not all dobermans, all are in the 80 lb+ territory. We also have a house-full of kids and I'll out myself...

    Preventing whining?

I do think she leaned in the anxious personality direction. She was deathly terrified of storms! But it seemed she had two gears in the house- passed out asleep, or pacing and whining. If you took her outside, she was full bore tearing around. The minute you came in, gear 1 or gear 2. There...

    Preventing whining?

I mentioned on the intro forum that we recently lost our Dobie and are currently in the process of getting a puppy. One thing I would like to know is if I can get ahead of Dobie whining? That was our girl's only annoying habit. She whined from the moment we met her until the day she died. She...
