DPCA 100 yr 2026 National Convention/2026 UDC FALL CLASSIC

No, I'm not going... best of luck to those entered!

@BGpa said: PS anyone going to Nationals, or knows how to find clips posted online by show sponsor after on WAE? If I can't be there in person I like to learn something by watching videos.

I don't know about this shows WAE, but if you go to Youtube and search WAE or WAC you can find several.
We also have a thread here on DCF and I know @Rits has posted a couple of hers and I have posted mine (Ashas).

@BGpa said: I was looking idly at the Total Dog idea and how to proof that from the AKC/DPCA vs UKC/UDC approach to the process.

Again, DPCA is so disappointing for the Doberman lovers in America who are not members and couldn't become a member if they wanted to. The things we do with our dogs don't count unless your are special enough to belong to their club. They don't even seem to try to hide the snottiness in the wording. 😅 My apologies for my own disdain here. From their website, regarding the versatility title:

UDC you also have to be a member and I believe 1 category is a title in tracking or IGP. I haven't looked for a long time, seems they added a mid-level Scent Work title to the mix as eligible titles. For some reason a couple of years ago I thought I would not be eligible, I'll have to look again.

I wasn't even aware that AKC had a Versatility title, or are you talking about them just supporting the breed clubs versatility title?

Ya I mistyped that - DPCA only title I guess.
I was using GrokAI to find "best value for time and money" for something denoting total dog capability. AKC/DPCA vs UKC/UDC

I have been to the UDC nationals but never to the DPCA one since the host hotel is booked up nearly the second they open registration.
