Look familiar? Well, we somehow managed it again and @JanS and I are most likely going to be getting littermates again! (provided 2 boys are born) I was on the waiting list since the earlier part of the year for a show boy out of a different litter but that litter got pushed back to next year. The timing doesn't work well for us with Ripley turning 3 at the end of May next year, with the possibility of breeding her sometime around 3-4 years old; that puts the puppy coming home possibly too close to a keeper puppy out of her. I'd reeeeally like to avoid that if I can help it! When I picked the other litter, the sire of this litter wasn't confirmed and Cruz wasn't the sire yet. Things didn't pan out and the sire was changed to Cruz and I was thinking, "dang, I wouldn't mind a puppy from those 2!" Funny how these things work out.
I have to give Jan sooo much credit knowing how much we want to show this boy and giving us show pick if there are enough boys. My heart is full! She's just the been the best in this whole journey; from the moment I joined DCF 13 years ago, to Jan getting a littermate from Ripley's litter, to now and always continues to be! I told our breeder that if there was only one boy I won't ever take that from Jan!! Fingers crossed there are two handsome black boys for us, (but I'm not opposed to a red boy) Puppies are due sometime next week!!!
