Best tape for posting? Better than j&js! Better than torbot!

Alright guys, so I’m going to keep this short, after having so much issues finding good tape in Europe and j&js becoming harder and harder to find anywhere, I have found what might be by far the BEST tape I have ever used!!!
I’m a firm j&js enthusiast, however since it wasn’t possible here I have to try out a million tapes and have found arguably the best combination!
here’s how I do: backer rod/ tampon method, back tape with “Leukotape” and on outside I use 3m paper tape or Kendall’s depending on my mood/ it really doesn’t matter tbh, I tried sports tape as well and that works too. So I do paper tape and on bottom of bell on outside reverse my taping direction with another strip of leukotape and it keeps everything suuuuper secure! Important is the outside leukotape on bottom should have the normal tape underneath outer wise it’s super hard to clean it all up, which leads to my next step. When removing the leukotape be very careful and soak it preferably in their own remover solution! It honestly works like torbot bonding cement but as tape!!! Alcohol works but it’s a pain in the butt! After removing it, I rub the rest tape residue down with coconut oil, and let it sit for about 20min then clean out ear as per usual with alcohol and let dry and then repost. Guys! I kid you not this stuff is amazing! The clean up is a little bit of a process but if you have issues like I had getting the posts to stay longer than 2 days this is the way to go! And a lot less messy than bonding cement! Leukoplast works too but it is a lot less sticky and just about holds up with j&js!

Important also, it’s just leukotape! Not leukotape k/r etc. it’s considered their “classic” tape everything else is basically just sports tape.

Interesting. It sounds similar to the Kendall tape I use, which is much more secure than the Zona's tape by J & J. It looks like the Leukotape is not as readily available in the US though.

Yeah we literally tried I think every tape available and have a box of Kendall’s. I used to swear by j&js but for the Inside/back wrapping I think I will never stray from leukotape anymore I’ve honestly never seen anything like it! And pulling it out as well it stays absolutely dry! Even after 5 days. Which Kendall’s I feel gets kinda “jucky” after a few days of the inside. I just wanted to share because I’ve never seen anything as good in hold besides adding torbot to the inside which let’s be honest is just a mess all around

And for availability, yeah I did see that as well, versions of it but not the actual classic! Once I’m back state side again I’ll see if I can find more sites that would ship, since here I’m only getting German results that ship but shipping from Germany is quite pricey! It honestly seems like a USA tape shortage all around because it was so hard for me to find j&js to ship to our APO

Thanks for the info! Always appreciated. I have used the torbo glue in the past, always looking for new ideas for the future! As to the 'shortage' in this country....it's a sin. Shortage on everything, so they can drive prices up. Insanity.
