They are not! The first one is Ava, she’s a chunky older lady and the second is Vance. Ava wants nothing more than to love and be loved on, and Vance takes a little more warming up but he’s the same way. Nice, athletic dogs too.

Jazz and I met a young male Vizla on our holidays and I was impressed with how obedient he was even though you could see he was a high energy character! He was about 1 yr old and Jazz embarrassed me by vocally letting me know she really liked the look of him for a playmate. :anonymous :

They are definitely high energy dogs. Smart and can be obsessive like a dobe. We have a few in the practice. Also a friend had one he always brought to the swimming hole and this Vizsla became obsessed with watching the fish swim. She would run back and forth to where they swam with nose to the water watching. She ignored every one and their pets to hunt these fish. High energy and beautiful.

Believe it or not, these ones are nowhere near as crazy as most of the "doodles" at the day care, and even a lot of other dogs. But they definitely require exercise, something we all are already familiar with! I've also met a few waiting tables and there hasn't been one I haven't liked. It has been an eye opener being around so many dogs with all different breeds and characters, most of them I adore but there are a few that are a PITA and I wonder why anyone would want them. The seniors are my favorites, and I feel for a couple of the dogs that are there more often than they are at home. I've been told this is one of the nicer boarding places but you can tell they all get tired of being there and just want to go home. Some have fun playing but IMO a lot of them are overwhelmed by it. It kind of reminds me of jail, it's all concrete and sterile, nothing fun to do (no treats or toys) and nowhere soft to lay down. When I do sit down I get bombarded, lol. The smaller dogs immediately climb into my lap and the others crowd around me and lean. Also, Odyssey is a kindred spirit with the fishing Viszla. She will peruse the shallows with her front paws, eyes down, hunting fish for hours. She's even caught a few.

Looking at them looking soooooo "WE GOT THIS!!" focused/serious..made me think of Woods/American Gothic panting.

They are both such gorgeous babes!!!!

Buddy seemed to be a little hurting today. My neighbor and I were thinking maybe it was the upcoming cold weather. We both thought it would be a good idea to put a sweater on him. He is really not fond of it and kind of acts like a cat with a coat on! But I think he'll get used to it.:fingersx:

We were about 28° all day and about 20 minutes ago, the snow started.:wtf3: I thought I better let him out real quick before it gets too slick. He doesn't want to go down my back stairs so I'm letting him out the front.
