Okay let's see here's one of my latest of Joe..He got a 5 point major at Sacramento and did really well..He's a bit of a reluctant show dog but he shines when he wants to.. lol We only show him on a super limited basis but he's only 5 single points away from his CH. View attachment 95904
That looks awesome..this is something I have always wanted to do but it's hard to get access to any training for it near to us.Posted this picture in Rubie's Agility thread but I just love it so much. She's keeping tabs on me but trusting me when I send her ahead. We're really starting to look like a team out there.

Is there a part of the course where you have to carry your dog? I know the Canine Biathlon last week end in Al you have to carry your dog in one of the events.I wonder where my puppy went too! Fortunately he still ACTS like one lol
It’s official. Brinks and I are registered for the 5k competitive large dog division for UltiMutt Race! Never done anything like this before but I’m super excited. If you mess up on an obstacle you have to do 30 squats as a penalty in the competitive wave, there’s also a fun race where the squats are optional. With any luck we’ll be stars and there will be a minimum of squats LOL I’ve started practicing just in case

I was seriously thinking about trying to enter and come up with Bogie but while the work I do is physically strenuous it’s not the same as training and working out. Not to mention I am on the South side of 60yo.You don’t have to carry your dog, but there is a part where you have to carry a 50 lbs sack 200 meters. I bought a bag of 60 lbs concrete mix to practice lol
You go girl ..I saw a 75 year old body builder and she looked fantastic!! We may slow down but with the right attitude it's amazing how we can stay in pretty good shape. I am close to the end of my 60's and I am still keeping up with the dogs. My knees are getting a bit stiff but overall I'm pretty darn good for my age. Good grief my mom is almost 98 years old!I was seriously thinking about trying to enter and come up with Bogie but while the work I do is physically strenuous it’s not the same as training and working out. I know you'll do great! I wish I had something like this here..Joe gets so bored ..there is a fast cat in June and I'm going to try and take him..I think we would both love it. There seems to be so few things close to home but this is only around 15 minutes away.I took Brinks into town to do a training run, honestly it was more so to see how he would do in a such a social setting while being asked to work. He was fantastic and stayed right on track, we did two miles in 20 minutes without pushing and including waiting at cross walks. I was hoping there would be other dogs out and about because he ignores people, but it’s other dogs he reacts to and I really need to have that in check before we’re surrounded by hundreds of them!
I -think- if I keep him distracted and focused on the task at hand he will be fine. I hope lol

I will be 67 this year and I hate getting older. Mine and the pups trainers sent me this picture of what she wants me to get back to. Seriously?!? I am 32yrs older than her.You go girl ..I saw a 75 year old body builder and she looked fantastic!! We may slow down but with the right attitude it's amazing how we can stay in pretty good shape. He is looking awesome!@Brioddy I wonder if having a ton of dogs around him at once wouldn’t really be an issue as opposed to a single dog he can focus on? I thought I read something about “flooding” a dog to help reactivity issues. Im not sure if it works, or if its even ethical but I haven’t read up on it.
@Tropicalbri's you still look great and probably have more muscles than me in those arms and I'm 24 XD
Im working another 16hr shift at the station today. My neighbor has a puppy day care and it will be his first time being with someone else all day. Im so worried something bad will happen! Good news is we cat tested him the other day. A few sniffs of the cat and he could care less!
