Toby is doing great! His neck is better but he's still stiff in the joints, but age does that I guess. Twilight gets along with him great but she really wants him to play way more than he's interested in doing. I have to separate them sometimes because she just won't leave him alone. Toby loves...
I watched too. I think she was red/rust. She was stunning. Sorry she didn't take it but I also know it's probably better for the breed that she didn't.
Today we get to celebrate double. Thanksgiving and Twilight's first birthday!! She is a mischievous little girl but we love her to pieces! She's getting along great with our rescue boy Toby (who has turned into the very best dobe).
I thought the same thing about Twilight being protective over Toby. She is definitely the more dominant of the two personalities but when Toby REALLY isn't interested in playing he will nip her just quick and hard enough to make her Yelp then she usually either stops or lays down and tries to...

I have a question for all you multiple dobe owners. We have a 10 1/2 month old female and a 8ish years old male that we just rescued. We really wanted a playmate for our younger dog when came upon our rescue. He's a great dog and plays well with our pup but he doesn't have the stamina to keep...
Oh my where to begin, I took toby for a check up on Monday. The vet confirmed that he is at least 7. He has some gingivitis and arthritis. He also had a double ear infection and whip worms but was otherwise healthy. We got some ear medicine and a joint supplement for him. Then on Tuesday...
I also agree that you can loose the cone and bridge. They get used to they quickly. His ears are in a good position when unposted already so a bridge may hurt more than it helps.
Make sure you are pulling up on the ear too when you insert them that helps them get deeper. Definitely use a 3/8. You can use the bigger stuff as he grows.
Yes, I can see it useful for Twilight in a outdoor situation or in a crowded place where she needs to be on point with commands. She does respond quicker with it on. My problem with it is that she knows the difference between wearing it and not so she's slower to respond when it isn't on. She...
