The Hidden Problems With Many Dog Bones and Chews

Yeah, back in the day rawhide was it. Stopped buying years ago. Use marrow bones, bully sticks (try to find USA source). I found 100% collagen beef chews. 100% USA made. Long lasting, Dante loves them.

    Skynyrd at vet getting stitches

And you're right they are tough dogs. So you won't even know there is a wound til you happen to find it yourself. Or maybe the telltale licking. That's when I always know there's something a miss on his foot. Haha. Then I have to monitor the licking or worse chewing on a torn pad. Dante...

    Skynyrd at vet getting stitches

Oh good. Thank Heavens. It is scary, especially when he was sent home still pretty much out of it. These guys really do beat themselves up. My Dante constantly comes in with scrapes, minor cuts and pads always being torn or cut. Drives me crazy. Dante is lucky to have a very big, but rough...

    Skynyrd at vet getting stitches

Yeah, they shouldn't have sent him home not fully awake Are they 24 hour facility? Did they give you an e-collar? When he wakes and goes right to licking that leg. That will be the real challenge. He should be fine once he wakes. It could be the sedation they used. I worked at a 24 hour...

    Neighbor problems.

Holy mackerel!! That's quite some grass clippings on the sidewalk. Shame that some people take no pride in their property. Frankly, just lazy slobs. No excuse.

    Chuck-It Ball Warning

True, the ball with the strap doesn't go as far. And it does do a number on my shoulder. 😆. The chuck-it thrower really flings that ball way out. And doesn't stress your shoulder out. I'm on a hill, so I try to look for square toys 😂

    Chuck-It Ball Warning

I like the chuck-it with the heavy duty fabric strap on it. Using the strap to throw really sends the ball a good distance. Thank Heavens he was able to cough that ball out.

Doberman Trainer - Long Island, New York

I am right there with you in regards to MORE SOCIALIZATION. My 2 year old, no one to play with. I got together with a half dozen people in Home Depot parking lot with there dogs. My guy used to scream on excitement. Wanted to go see them. I believe to play. Most were young dogs, some pups...

    Soresto collars

Yes you are right. You have to be very careful where these items come from. I try very hard not to buy dog toys from out of the country. Or even bully sticks or any chew type of bone. I always check to see where product is made or sourced.
