INDEED. I have emailed a few and all my intentions are clear. I really don't want the IPO3 prospect! But I want a hard dog more than a soft dog. Not remembering at the moment if you saw my post titled Old Memories and Working Pedigrees, but the dog I had years ago was to me the perfect dog (but we all say that, right?) Now in the days of internets I found her pedigree and posted it there if you want to see it. The top half of 5 generations is 31 dogs and 20 were IPO3. Her bottom half just had couple. But it gave me confidence that what I saw in this dog was drive and eagerness and the knowledge that yes indeed I can deal with the personality. I DO have BH as a goal, and IPO, maybe, only if it fits us both. But in the meantime, growing up together would be CD, CGC, nose work, obedience maybe rally. In my emails I've said this all to the breeders, because I really want a perfect fit, not too hot and not too cold, said Goldilocks...
