Looks like this one has promise. ;) im looking forward to it myself. Sounds way better then animal cops. witch i dont dislike but sometime i feel like they are really prejudice to Pitbulls, esp Animal Cops Detroit.

i love those guy's be reading about them alot, i'm sure i will watch it on friday, thanks for posting VON :)

yes i thought i missed to,til i realized it was thursday and not friday LMAO
so i'm ging to set the Tv up for this time as well ;)

Crap, I did too, darn it all...we went out to dinner with friends and I forgot all about it. It was sort a late when we left and by the time we came back there was the chores in the barn and I never even gave it another thought. I'd be interested too, to hear if anyone saw it?

I watched the show on Tivo a little while ago. It was OK. I wouldn't make a habit of watching the show. In one of their cases, they had to go into the projects to rescue a hospitalized man's three hungry pit bulls from his apartment. I guess the men's tough appearance might have helped them there. The one who went in first was brave, but the dogs turned out to be not all that aggressive.
One of the other stories was about a man who was reportedly shooting stray cats that were ruining his garden. The Rescue Ink crew really botched that one by being very intimidating (in their numbers, appearance and attitude)combative, using bad language... When they went back to the man's house to deliver a motion activated sprinkler system to control the cats, they were met with a refusal from the homeowner and a call to the police. If they had been less intimidating and more polite, the man may well have accepted thier help.
The show seems like so many others where the characters are more important to the show than the actual subject matter- kinda like that show about the chopper motorcycles. One show I've been pretty interested in is Jockeys. The characters are important in that show too, but they show so much behind-the-scenes stuff about the horse racing world and the real life of a jockey.

Thanks Ingrid, very interesting...too bad about the man refusing the sprinkler system. That sounded like a good answer to his problems but when you are met with that anger first, I could see him being turned off to them...maybe it shows how on Animal Planet, their cool demeanor really does work to their advantage. Even though we want to react like these guys did last night!

Thanks for the recap of the show Ingrid. Hope the guys learned a little something from the cat man's refusal of help and why. Was hoping this was going to be a good show. Maybe it will yet??

did someone know if the bring it again???
have to check maybe this morning.because i went out for dinner too and we came home around 11pm, so i misssed it too :(

Ya, MB it is too bad. The guy was a foreigner to boot. He sounded Russian to me. That could have added to his being intimidated by the gang of big thuggish looking guys at his doorstep with a camera crew. I guess it makes drama for TV, but in the real world people like the police and real animal control officers are trained to treat people with respect, remain calm, not react to any provocation on the part of the suspect, and get the job done... And generally the public responds in kind and becomes more cooperative.
There was a little shouting match after the cat shooter refered to the guys as "rats" and one of the Ink guys got right in his face yelling and cursing.

According to my Tivo, that episode is due to be re-run 9/30 at 8:00 and 11:00 EST and 10/2 6:00 EST on Nat Geo Channel

I seen it. honestly i wasn't to impressed with there tactics. Honestly if a "gang" of bikers came to my house with that attitude i wouldn't be very accommodating either. While i respect what they do. Im not a fan of there intimidating tactics. lol the poor foreign guy called the police and he could barely hold onto the phone he was shaking so bad. Granted he was supposedly shooting cats with a BB gun. But Rescue Ink's Approach wasn't in any way something i would have responded to either.

omg there was one really funny part when the guys were trying to catch some nuisance chickens with nets, they had failed the first time and had left the premises. When they had returned the older woman who had called in the first place told them there tactics were all wrong. when they asked her how they should go about catching the chickens. She said "you should just kill them" haha i about fell out of my chair laughing. lol seriously the show should have been about that lady, it would have been way better. she was a riot..

I saw it, well 1/2. went to bed since it was on at 11 pm. It was Ok...I liked the old lady too. I liked when they were asking about the chickens congregating at her house. The biker was sooo exasperated & she was unfazed. LOL

Overall, yeah, the guys were intimidating to the average person...but this is what most of my friends & family look like, so that "intimidation factor" was sorta lost om me. I was irritated with the cat guy myself. He was an ass. I probably would have gotten into basically the same "conversation" with himas the one guy did.
The 75 year old dude was a trip. Scary- but not what you'd expect. (Our house has at least 7motorcycles/Harley's out front at all times-and those are just ours-and the neighbors are very leery of us. the new ones anyway. The ones who've always lived here know we're nice people & would do anything to help them. So, like anything else...it's all how YOU assume people are).

Maybe once the show matures (if it does) it will give more insight into these guys & what they're trying to do.

BTW- Someone mentioned American Chopper & the characters being more important that the business of what they're doing. i guess I don't get that because the people ARE what make the business. I'm a huge paul sr. fan though. I hated him at first, but got a huge crush on him when he & his son Pauly got in a fight & he cried. He's totally not my 'type' (older, muscle-y)...but it's a bigtime crush. hahaha

what can I say? I'm a sucker for REAL bad boys that aren't all bad.
