Important announcement....

It is and nobody doubts it Lynz ;) and like i always say, nothing happens without a reason :D
You will do good Jan, have no doubt, maybe with a few changes it will be just fine :)

Oh, bummer. I was looking forward to giving you high fives no matter what you scored. Get out there soon! We're showing on Saturday, which is the last time until the weather starts cooling off in September. This evening we were training indoors in the a/c and he was golden, but he wilts in the heat!

I didn't realize that a lot of the shows were already done and the nearest is about 200 miles Reno has a two day so trying to twist hubbys arm to take me there if not looks like I might not get anywhere until the next spring season sigh! Still lots of time to train that way and he gets better every day!! Really didn't start training till really late this year anyway so he is not quite ready! Don't give up on me yet lol; gl to you and Cooper lots of pics and videos let us know how ya do Art thanks:D

I was well aware of the new board and I sincerely do wish them success with it. There's plenty of room for all of us out there and no doubt we'll all cover different aspects of the breed, so the more knowledge out there the better. :)
And of course you're still welcome here Lynz. Thank you for being honest about it. :ty:

Jan you are a wonderful person and your forum will blossom! :goodluck:

A Parable for Jan

A man, a boy, and a donkey

An old man, a boy & a donkey were going to town.

The boy rode on the donkey & the old man walked.

As they went along they passed some people

who remarked it was a shame the old man

was walking and the boy was riding.

The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right,

so they changed positions.

Then, later, they passed some people who remarked,

'What a shame, he makes that little boy walk.'

So they then decided they'd both walk!

Soon they passed some more people who thought

they were stupid to walk when they had a

decent donkey to ride.

So, they both rode the donkey.

Now they passed some people

who shamed them by saying how awful to

put such a load on a poor donkey.

The boy and man figured they were probably right,

so they decide to carry the donkey.

As they crossed the bridge,

they lost their grip on the animal

and he fell into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story?

If you try to please everyone,
you might as well...

Kiss your ass goodbye!

Have A Nice Day

Dobermans are never off topic lol.. Art nice one parable !! I don't know anything about how to find out about any matches around here but I will ask around geez we are just too far off the beaten track I guess:(I dpn't care much about the ribbons just want to train him well lol:eekwtf:

I don't know anything about how to find out about any matches around here but I will ask around

NJ, NY, PA, CT and MD have a publication called The Match Show Bulletin which lists shows, matches, TDI tests, rallys, CGC tests, tracking events, etc. Maybe there's a similar publication in CA.

On another note, I am BUMMED - I had a great movie in front of me today and I didn't have my camera. Cooper and I took a walk around the reservoir this morning. On the road to the parking area, the car in front of me stopped while a flock of turkeys crossed the road. They kept trickling out of the brush and I think there were 9 of them. They finally cross and get in the woods on the other side of the road, the car in front started rolling, and one last turkey came running out of the brush in front of him, wings flapping, squawking away and followed the rest into the woods. It was funny to watch.
