Oh wow, it does seem like you made that post yesterday, and I'm so glad to see that most of those members are still with us and part of the family. I even remember back to months before that when we were still Doberman Parade and some of those members are still with us as well, which is something than many places can't say.

I saw a lot of mods coming and going too, but its always nice that we got so a strong family what stays together, no matter what. So of to the next two years

I still am amazed that the same day my new best friend was born is the same day the forum that would bring so many new friends into my life was born!! I really do feel I have made so many new friends on DCF, I have even met a couple!!! And out of one friendship I got to have one more best friend (Dellon) and a GREAT mini vacation in Florida!!!!!! I have so enjoyed my time on DCF and hope to spend many years with my new friends here!!! Thanks Von and Jan and all the mods that make this such a great forum!!!!!

Well, looks like us "guys" are out numbered by the "girls" and the "undisclosed." Looks like the "yoots" I mean youths out number us older "dudes" and "dudettes. Undisclosed must be aliens housed at area 51. Sounds like another conspiracy theory for Jessy Ventura.

It is the people in our community that make this a special place but Fred and Jan are a big part of that community,not just some nameless,faceless administrators who never interact.Thanks so much for all you two do to keep this a great forum!!! I'm sure eventually someone will right some really good stable web hosting software and life will be easier!!!LOL

But after looking at the demographics, I do think as a rare 55 yr old male member,I should get a special title to show my status,maybe something like-"Old Fart Extrordinaire"?

lol Don someone has.. We are testing it now on Canine Chat and its pretty cool stuff. But as far as change we could ask the president how thats working out for him. lol I hope the eventual switch goes over as well here as it did on the other forum.. The idea is to get back to basics. and bring the forum back to being a forum and quit trying to be a a full blown website.. Planning a change this big is a real chore but i think it will be the most positive change weve planned in the two years DC has been around.. We just have to get our ducks in a row and make sure its goes smooth as possible.

I also wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to this post in particular, in a cpl more years this will make interesting reading and be another neat little marker in the history of Doberman Chat Forum and our little experiment in decency, common sense and sharing.

Hey, he was our governor for a few years too, and IMO it was a refreshing change to have a "tell it like it is" guy in office.
