Its been a while since I posted athenas weight on here.
Shes 33 weeks and weighs 62 lbs and is 24" at the withers.
Triton will be 3 on Feb 17th and is 80 lbs and 28 1/2" at the withers
Ive had them down for about 2 days now, and they stand really well. The only thing I dont like is that when she is not holding them up, they lay all the way down which Im not use to. When Tritons are not erect, they lay down, but just the very top of his ear. She has no problem getting them back...
Thank you everyone. I do love the way her color is so defined and sharp. I can honestly say I have never personally seen a dobe with her coloration, I love it!!:)
You know, I actually told him this and he had nothing to say. I said well what if they come in the front door? the dogs are in the back their helpless.
As far as the degree goes yea, it can get to about 50 maybe 40 if we are lucky, but it never seems that cold. I cant remember the last time I wore a coat! As far as the heat though yea it can get very very very hot here, this summer was very rough. I kept them inside while he was at work, and...
I do agree with everything everyone has said here, I really do. Unfortunately it is not just my decision, because if it was they would be in here with me all the time. I hate that they are outside, although they really do enjoy it. I actually brought them in not to long ago for their baths and...
I spent alot of my day outside with them, so they get the stimulation and family time they need and deserve. I showed him the discussion that has gone on in this thread and it just pho of course. He thinks he is always right and he knows whats best. I do understand what you are saying, but...
I know, I know. Lol I was actually getting ready to upload some taken this morning, but I cant seem to find the little adapter thing that i put the memory card in. :( Hopefully I find it soon, cause I got some cute shots of her and trition playing.
its not just dobermans, it animals in general. He doesnt like the hair that gets everywhere, and they get dirty when they go outside, and you can only bathe a doberman in particular once a month if that. We have 3 young children and his adult daughter lives here with her baby as well, so add 2...
It has been an ongoing discussion with us since we got Triton. I want them to be inside/outside and hubby does not agree. I see his point and I dont if that makes any sense. I bring the discussion up to him at least once a week. Maybe what I should do since I sold our crate, is go buy 2 new...
No, they stay outside. Triton is crate trained but athena is not, I didnt get that far when my husband said she had to stay outside from now on.
I hate it, but hey its his house too.
I have tried calming them to make them quiet down when nothing is wrong, but it just starts right back up minutes later. Athena barks at Triton to get him to play which is great normal puppy behavior, but its in the middle of the night!! lol The other thing that they like to bark at is cats in...
I need to get this nuisance barking under control!! I am really iffy on doing the shock collars, but from what I have found online it is one of the only systems that allows you to correct the nuisance barking and not all barking. I still want them to alert me when something is wrong, but I dont...
I hate ticks!! ugh so gross! lol I am so glad we got out of my dads when we did, shortly after we left his 2 dogs became infested with ticks. Makes me sick that nothing is being done!! UGH some people just should not have pets (talking about my dad)
I usually use a oatmeal mix to bathe them in Triton has sensitive skin i figured id rather be safe than sorry with athena. I decided I will not use flea soap anymore, that was the first and the last!!! I bought a spot on treatment for both of them, and it seems to be working. we also treated...
